Are you trying to get into skincare but you're bewildered where to start from? Well, it's so common to feel confused in the most part of being a newbie. Especially when scrolling through social media pages and seeing models having 11 steps of care routine and even more.
There are 3 basic skincare routine comprising of a cleanser, moisturizer and eventually sunscreen(SPF). With these 3, you can build your skin from toners to treatments depending on your skin wants and needs. And remember, consistency is the key to a healthy and a beautiful skin.
Here are the skincare basics;
1.CLEANSER
You're required to wash your face twice per day- once in the morning and evening. Washing your face in the morning is something we all do but what about at night? Cleansing at night should never be compromised since we've accumulated oil, sweat and other pollutants on our skin throughout the day.
Depending on your skin type, you'll have to buy a face cleanser that fits you. However, a hydrating toner is effective and gentle on all skin types. This amazing toner makes your skin to be supple and attractive.
2.MOISTURIZER
After cleansing, you are to moisturize your skin to maintain it's youthful look and prevent environmental damage to the skin. Depending on your skin problem and type, you're to purchase a moisturizer that meets your skin needs.
3.SUNSCREEN(SPF)
Lastly, sunscreen with at least 30 SPF is applied and it's expected to be reapplied every two hours(And yes, black people need sunscreen too). But if you're staying indoors, applying sunscreen only once will still work effectively. Sunscreen has a number of benefits such as reducing the skin aging process, preventing sunburns and dark spots. Without sunscreen in your skincare routine, your efforts are next to nothing.
